The residents of Sundown Drive raised $466.70 throughout December from visitors observing some impressive Christmas lights displays in the street, with the funds going towards Daffodil Cottage.
Sundown Drive resident Scott Morgan, who is receiving treatment for cancer at Daffodil Cottage, said the street was blown away by the community's generosity.
"It's nice to know so many people in the community are charitable, as organisations such as Daffodil Cottage do such a great job to look after patients battling cancer," Mr Morgan said.
"They look after me, so we want to look after them too."
Bathurst Health Service senior oncology social worker Joanne Young said the support from the residents will go a long way.
"These funds will go back into the community to support those in need, and it's fantastic to see Sundown Drive's residents rally to Scott's cause," Ms Young said.
"Every donation is helpful in the sense it goes towards initiatives to make life more comfortable for patients undergoing treatment for cancer."
