Marketing Manager with Bernardi's, Isabella Bernardi, said at Bernardis' they are very much part of the communities in which they operate.
"We care deeply for the success of our towns and the people who live in them," she said.
So much so that the Bernardi family have donated over $600,000 from 2011, which is when donations were recorded, to go back into the local community.
She said to better help the success of our towns, in 2019 Bernardis' developed the "Building Better Communities Program" in which the family committed to donate $10,000 to each of their store based communities.
"And the best part is that the community decide where the donations go," she said.

Ms Bernardi said how it works, is every six months, the Bernardis' team will choose three worthy beneficiaries per store to share $5,000, and it's up to customers, to decide who will receive the donations.
"Each time a customer goes through the checkout they will receive a token. They can cast their vote by choosing the beneficiary they'd most like to support by placing their token in their tub.
"At the end of the fundraising period, the beneficiaries will receive; $2,500 for the first vote holder, $1,500 for the second vote holder, and $1,000 for the third vote holder."
She encouraged community groups to apply to become a beneficiary.
"At the moment, we are trying to secure new 2021 beneficiaries," Ms Bernardi said.
"So apply today or nominate a local organisation that deserves a helping hand.
"Also, orangasitions wishing to raise funds are welcome to host a fundraising BBQ in store.
"We will happily help with free and cost-price supplies and you take 100 per cent of the profits.
