It may be in the rear-view mirror now, but the thrill of claiming the Western Premier League title once again still hasn't quite faded for the Dubbo Bulls.

The Bulls' Scott Fox, who's one of the many talented veterans at the club who was part of the Bulls' dominant early 2010s run, was the difference maker during last year's grand final against a red-hot Macquarie United outfit.
"We've been enjoying having had a really good season right now, there hasn't been too much done for next year yet, but we'll get stuck back in over the next few weeks," Fox said of the club moving forward.
While the Bulls' are the obvious benefactors, he's tipping all clubs to find more success as football in the western region continues to expand.
"It can only get bigger and more positive as we go forward," Fox said.
"It's really exciting what comes up and what new clubs and teams get involved."
Fox, who was competing as part of the Bulls when they won a successive series of championships before the competition closed down as teams abandoned it, doesn't see the same happening anytime soon
"We had that eight year hiatus and it really renewed everyone's enthusiasm for the competition, and that travel that's involved as well," Fox said.
"I think that excitement is still there, we're one year in and people are still thrilled about all of it, I don't think we're going to see players dropping off in a hurry."
The competition's continuation is something Fox is welcoming, as it's given the Bulls the motivation reach a new level of competitiveness after experiencing some tough games against opponents they hadn't matched up against in almost a decade.
"Getting to play those stronger teams and the stronger overall competition is going to be a big carrot for all the players," Fox said.
"We had some strong competition, every week in the Western Premier League was a challenge."
