Premiership winning mentor Graeme Osborne will coach Workies' premier league side again this year.

Following a seven year stint from 2009 to 2015 and then another in 2018-19 in the top job, the 2021 season will be his third foray in the club's head coaching role after stepping back in 2020 to allow Greg Behan and Corey Willmott to take on the job, an opportunity eventually shot down by COVID-19.

With Behan and Willmott not coaching in 2021, the door was open for the veteran 2012 Group 10 title winning coach to step up again.

"Ossie with his great experience and knowledge of the game will set us up for a great season," Workies president Anthony Brown said.

Brown said Workies will lean on experienced players like Greg Alderson and Cody Godden as the club looks to bring through a bunch of talented juniors into the senior ranks.

"We are all eager to get back into action and have a successful 2021 season," he said.

"The draw looks really good for our club, our first home game being round one, will fall on ANZAC Day weekend."

Players have started preparation with some pre-season training that kicked off in December and will return in the first week of February.

"All current, previous and new players are welcome to come down and join our fantastic club," Brown added said.

The extended Workies coaching staff for 2021 includes Sam Rushworth for first division, Ben Lane and Jason Nunan for under 18s and Charlie Healey for open's league tag.
