A MAN and woman have been charged following an investigation into the supply and cultivation of cannabis worth about $75,000. Officers attached to Central West Police District Proactive Crime Team established Strike Force Marunna in December 2020 to investigate the supply and cultivation of cannabis throughout Orange and surrounding areas. During the search, police say they seized 38 cannabis plants, 928g of cannabis leaf, 42g of cannabis seed and approximately 2kgs of cannabis oil. A woman, aged 46, was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station, where she was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug. He was charged with cultivation of cannabis, and three counts of possessing a prohibited drug. The pair were granted conditional bail to appear before Orange Local Court on February 22.
