In addition to headliners Kate Ceberano and C.W. Stoneking, the festival will feature local favourites Smith & Jones, The Safety of Life at Sea, Andy Nelson and The Mirandas.
Smith & Jones, featuring Abby Smith and Sophie Jones, have performed at the event regularly over the past few years, and both are excited to see the event somewhat return to its roots.
"When Inland first started, it was in backyards and more intimate venues, which made the event really special," Jones said.
"The event has seen so many iterations over the years and while we love performing up at Wahluu, we're simply happy to see the event go ahead," Smith added.
Inland will take place within the Bathurst CBD, making use of the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre [BMEC] as well as the car park behind the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum.
Smith & Jones will take the car park stage on Thursday, February 25 in support of folk duo Hussy Hicks.
"It's going to be really cool to see how they set the stage up in the car park, and we love dinosaurs, so it's a win-win," Jones said.
"This will be our first full-band gig since December 2019, we're really excited."
With COVID-19 pausing live entertainment throughout much of 2020, the duo, while acknowledging they've missed performing live, said the downtime has allowed them time to recharge and plan their future.
"We've been going 'flat chat' for the better part of eight years now, and the time off has allowed us to take a step back and really think about our music," Jones said.
"It's been the same deal with many of our peers, and I think the beauty of so much downtime has allowed many industries, not just the arts, to approach their output differently."
Smith & Jones have recorded two studio albums to date: 2017's Dark Gives Way and 2019's Something Worth Learning.
Inland Sea of Sound 2021 will run from February 24 to 28. For more information, visit www.inlandseaofsound.com.au.
