Redbacks have gone through two completely different experiences upon the resumption of the season, smashing CYMS on the back of a huge opening stand between Joey Coughlan and Tom Lynch before missing out on several winning opportunities against St Pat's Old Boys.
Currently sitting at the bottom of a breakaway group of six teams on the ladder, Redbacks can't afford many more slip ups as they look to keep pace with the top four.
Eight points separate them from the fourth-placed Cavs.
Last weekend's loss to the Saints was a tough one for Redbacks to take considering the devastating potential they had shown with bat and ball in the previous game.
Lynch and Coughlan combined for a 144-run game-winning stand against CYMS but were each sent back to the pavilion in single figures against the Saints.
Redbacks junior talent Lynch said spending more time out in the middle is a must this Saturday.
"We went down Pat's last weekend which was a game we had a good shot at. All the boys were pretty passionate and up and about in trying to win that game, so we just have to take that passion and energy into this week's game," he said.
"Everyone's really enjoying the white ball stuff this year. We've had some intense games and some close moments but we'll be happy to have a few more of our boys back."
Ben Orme bowled last round but didn't end up batting, though that could change this Saturday as he continues his comeback from a hand injury.
John Rudge made an immediate impact in his first game back for Redbacks with an innings high knock of 46 not out against St Pat's.
Lynch has built himself up steadily into a valued part of the Redbacks first grade outfit.
He made four successive scores in the range of 18 to 36 before breaking through for his big knock of 70 not out in the win against CYMS.
He's chipped in with the ball as well with seven first grade wickets so far.
After crashing back to earth last Saturday he and the team are still full of drive as they pursue a finals berth.
"Hopefully having those guys back can bring us a few more wins and we're looking forward to having a good hard crack at finals," he said.
"Myself and Joey had a great match against CYMS and it set a really good foundation for the rest of our team who were easily able to chase down the rest of it. Last week me and Joey were both out before the team even got to 20 so we're just trying to replicate that CYMS game.
"Cavs are on a little losing streak so we're making no plans to let them stop that. In the early part of the season they beat us fairly easily but that was when we were a bit understrength.
This Saturday will be Redbacks' first look at a BOIDC game this season at Wade Park.
