The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon will pit a host of local performers together for an evening of sharp comedy, riveting narration and rapid-fire transitions from story to story.
Director Libby Daniewska said the performance will rise to the challenge of merging as many Brothers Grimm fairy tales as possible [there's 209 of them] into the one show.
"The performance will feature famous tales such as Snow White, Hansel and Gretel and Rapunzel, as well as some obscure tales few people have heard of," Ms Daniewska said.
"There's 42 characters and only 10 actors, so it'll be quite a challenge as the actors will have to change characters on the fly."
Ms Daniewska said the production has been in the works since October last year, and will be a show unlike any Bathurst audiences have witnessed before.
"There's a lot of audience participation involved, we want the crowd to get into it," she said.
"It's a dinner show as well, so audiences will be able to enjoy a two-course meal in Keystone's wonderful ballroom while sharing a laugh over the production's well-natured humour."
"Tickets are selling fast, but there's still plenty available for opening night."
The performance will open on Thursday, February 4 and run for two further sessions on Friday, February 5 and Saturday, February 6. Doors open at 6.30pm for each show.
Tickets cost $65 [including dinner] and can be purchased online at www.trybooking.com.
