The venues for the 2021 Positive Rugby Foundation Boys NSW State Championship were announced on Saturday, with Endeavour Oval selected as the host ground for the under 14s.

NSW Juniors president Ben Gregory is looking forward to getting the show on the road after last year's event had to be cancelled due to Covid.

"Things are looking positive from all the information we have on the Covid front and what we'll be allowed to do," he said.

"So we're very excited to be able to resume our rep programs across all of NSW junior rugby union including school stuff."

The venues chosen to host this year's championships - including Dubbo's Apex Oval - are the same that would have hosted last year's events.

"We were very happy to support our clubs that had put their hands up for 2020," Gregory said.

"Orange has been a venue of ours for more than a decade so we're very happy to come back there every year.

"Emus and City run a very good show."

Orange is expected to host roughly 18 teams from as far away as Melbourne for the competition. Gregory believes there will be high quality football on show.

"Obviously there's a long time between now and the June long weekend, but they've (Melbourne team) already shown indications that they want to come up," he said.

"All the teams from the country zones in the state and all the Sydney districts are welcome to come.

"We usually get somewhere in the vicinity of 16-18 teams come to Orange which is a fantastic number of people to congregate in the Central West and they will see great rugby.

"These guys are all competing for a state championship, but there's the added bonus that they're all competing to make a Sydney and a country under 14s team as well.

"We also have ten of our school scholarship referees coming up to Orange so you'll see some high quality officiating as well."

The competition will run on the long weekend of June 12 to June 14.
