'Rainham' owners Suzy and Richard Miller have been hard at work preparing areas of their property to sustain numerous varieties of flowers to share with the local community.
Ms Miller said the farm specialises in dahlias, but also includes cosmoses, cleomes and zinnias.
"Since Richard retired from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, flower farming has become a vibrant hobby of ours," she said.
"I started collecting the dahlia tubers online and once we started planting, we built metal structures to support their growth, and it has blossomed into an enjoyable activity."
Ms Miller said the farm includes around 110-120 varieties of dahlias, encompassing numerous colours.
"The flowers tend to look after themselves and every morning, I check on the farm for any dead ones," she said.
"Some of the flower crops are around seven feet high and once they bloom [around early November], they're generally good until first frost."
Ms Miller hopes the flower farm will raise awareness of the pastime in the Bathurst region. To enquire about a visit, contact 0423 712 191.
