The Saints will be joined by Orange Wanderers, Lithgow Panthers and Parkes United for the new PLH season and the Bathurst men will be doing so with a new coach.
Richard Sharp, the father of Hockeyroos representative and former Lithgow Zig Zag player Lachlan, will be taking the reins of the St Pat's men's side while Niel Howard takes the managerial role.
St Pat's president Wendy Hastings said it's a welcome sight to see the club fielding both a men's and women's side for the region's top tier competition.
"It's great to have both our men's and women's teams back. All our coaches and managers have been appointed and it all augers well for a good season," she said.
"We have Ben Weal continuing to coach the women and Richard Sharp is coming on board, which is fantastic and a great pick up for the club.
"Richard is a long-time Pat's boy who started playing here in Bathurst and was an excellent player in his own right."
Hastings hopes the appointments can continue the Saints' strong recent history across both the men's and women's competitions.
"Our past coaches like Shane Conroy and Jaden Ekert have done amazing work for the club, and have won a premiership in the past, and they were very excited to get our men's team back," she said.
"We were hopeful about getting a men's competition up and running and it was only on Monday night that it was made official.
"We have a training program scheduled to commence and the women have already started their fitness training."
Whether the naming of Richard Sharp as the Pat's men's coach will lead to Lachie Sharp making any appearances for the Saints remains to be seen.
The four returning men's clubs are the same sides who played the last competition in 2019, while in the women's competition Dubbo Blue Jays will be making their return in 2021.
