Kristie attended Bathurst High, and returned again for her first job after graduating from Charles Sturt University at the end of 2004.
She worked at the school for seven years before taking a job at Orange High, where she remained for 10 years.
In that time she has been Head of English, Head Teacher; Teaching and Learning and Curriculum Advisor to name just a few of her roles, but said her new position is the most exciting yet, especially as Denison College is the first school in the state to have a Principal Instructional Leader.
Ms Anderson said the role is about striving for excellence within the college, through best practice.
She will be working shoulder to shoulder with Ken Barwick (from Bathurst High) and Michael Sloan (Kelso High).

Ms Anderson said she counted herself "very lucky to be feeling that wonderful emotion of 'coming home.'
She spoke of her own educational experience at the High Achievers evening for Denison College held earlier this month.
"I was a student at Eglinton Public School during the 80s, and a Bathurst High girl for the 90s with lots of Kelso High friends.
Since then I have worked in pubs, clubs, cafes, restaurants, hardware stores and service station.
"I didn't answer my calling until a little bit later and then earned a double degree here at Bathurst CSU in early 2000s," she said.
She said she absolutely adores being a high school teacher, and coming back full circle.
"It is a complex and overwhelming lovely feeling to walk with so many memories through my working days.
"It is also a feeling of great responsibility and I have a legacy to think about, as I see myself in our students," she said.

She said working with teenagers is an amazing job, describing her charges as an outstanding group of kids.
"Teenagers are complex, simple, wonderful people, and a joy, most of the time," she said.
She is equally excited about working with principals Ken Barwick and Michael Sloan, who bring with them many years of experience as educators.
"I am so lucky to have a senior executive with such highly experienced staff."
"And they have really taken me under their wing," she said.
Splitting her time between both campuses, Ms Anderson said while new to the role, she has spent time at both Kelso and Bathurst High campuses and is impressed with what she has seen.
"There is an incredible level of unity across the college. What has also struck me is the level of care for the students.
"They (the staff) are really willing to listen, and engage in the important conversations.
"It's kids first," she said.
