The Bathurst Regional Council initiative will see local musicians perform a series of lunchtime and evening gigs on Fridays and Saturdays each week until April 17.
Local jazz band Pengopuss helped commence the initiative on Friday night, and vocalist Alyson Laver said the band was looking forward to performing for an audience again.
"Last year was devastating for live performance, but there's a good feeling in the air that it will start to pick up again," Laver said.
"We wrote a number of songs over the lockdown period and have also used the downtime to inject some our own spin into some popular jazz standards."
Pengopuss also took part in the initiative when it debuted in September last year, and Laver said it's wonderful opportunity to support local musicians and take advantage of what surrounding businesses have to offer.
"The last time we performed, we found a lot of people purchased food from nearby restaurants to enjoy with the show, it had a really great vibe."
