A TRUE delight of being the current 2MCE station manager is to see how members of the community express their creativity and contribute to the mission of Charles Sturt University of creating a world worth living in.

Over the past few years, many of our volunteers have developed new skills and become radio broadcasters - a million miles away from their everyday careers!
One such volunteer is Sharon Williams. I'll let her explain.
"I volunteered and joined the 2MCE Talking Newspaper team five years ago and recently my co-presenter Kerry Patten also cut her teeth on the Talking Newspaper.
"Kerry and I now have the privilege of covering Marg Hargans' Morning Music Program until she returns to air.
"This timeslot on Tuesday mornings from 10am is the 'nostalgia' time on 2MCE.
"Kerry and I have fun sharing the panelling duties, the choice of music and chatting about the different styles of music.
"We were then asked to join the Community Drive team and now host the Friday afternoon program. We talk regional news, music and general information about upcoming events around the region.
"This has given us something new to learn, new skills and new requirements joining the Community Drive team with Brett Van Heekeren, Wendy Spooner and Megan Jackson.
"Over the past few Fridays I've had various co-hosts, with station manager Lisa, school student Tom Dubyk, and last week we were joined by Jasmine Gold and Harriet Lowe.
"Jasmine sang live, playing guitar and her original composition Bad Person. Harriet also sang live, playing Another Love Song, also an original composition.
"Both Harriet and Jasmine were part of LEAP - Local Emerging Artists Program - and we chatted about the advantages of the program in our neck of the woods and the unusual worldwide situation for all artists and performers.
"I would never have thought I would be presenting a drive program on broadcast radio. However, with the support of my family, everyone at 2MCE and the community, here I am.
"If you have an interest in presenting broadcast radio, why not become a member of 2MCE and join the family of volunteer station workers. You never know where it might lead!"
