A teenager who became lost in bushland at Hill End on Thursday night has been reunited with her family.

The 14-year-old girl, who went for a walk in the afternoon but became disorientated in a storm that hit the area, was found by emergency services just after 10pm on Thursday evening.
Chief Inspector Luke Rankin emergency services were called in on Thursday afternoon after family and friends were unable to locate the girl.
Reports of her disappearance triggered an enormous police response with PolAir and the Dog Squad among the resources utilised by police to find her.
Inspector Rankin said the 14-year-old left home at about 1pm.
"While walking through bush land she had to take shelter from the storm, and as a result became lost in the bush," he said.
"When she didn't return as expected, family and friends became concerned and started searching for her.
"When they were unable to locate her emergency services were called in at about 5pm."

Inspector Rankin said among the emergency services response were police, the State Emergency Service and Rural Fire Service.
"They were all notified and attended along with the Dog Squad, PolAir and other specialist resources," he said.
Inspector Rankin said the teenager was found by emergency crews safe and well at around 10pm on Thursday evening.
"Thankfully she was not injured and she was reunited with her family,' he said.
