The Polish fifth-seed claimed a resounding 6-3 6-2 win in Friday's semi-final at Memorial Drive.

Swiatek, seeking a second career title to add to her triumph at Roland Garros last year, will meet the winner of Friday night's semi between second-seed Belinda Bencic and 16-year-old American Coco Gauff.

Swiatek was dominant in the opening set against the unseeded Teichmann, breaking the Swiss left-hander's serve in the fourth game.

The 19-year-old Swiatek harried her opponent with a series of powerful ground strokes as Teichmann, who endured a quarter-final lasting almost three hours on Thursday, made a series of unforced errors - 13 in all in the first set.

Teichmann appeared sharper in the second set and led 2-1 when she failed to convert a break point - her only one of the match.

It was literally a turning point as Swiatek held serve, then broke her 23-year-old foe's serve the next two times to keep her perfect record for the tournament: she's yet to drop a set.

"I feel solid and that is the most important thing for me because when I play good I just enjoy everything," Swiatek said.

"And hopefully tomorrow I will also play well."
