Just a short walk from the main gate is the team from Capertee Valley Helicopters, which is offering race fans the opportunity to have a joy ride over the track.
This is the second time Capertee Valley Helicopters has been at Mount Panorama for a race meeting and the team is looking forward to giving fans a very different viewing experience.

Kylie Godden, whose partner Mark Lilley is the pilot, said the flights can accommodate three guests at a time.
The journey lasts about five minutes and during that time the helicopter circles the track, giving fans the ultimate view of the action on track.
"It's really good to go up there and see it all; you can pretty much see everything when you're up in the sky," Ms Godden said.
"You can see the race track a lot better and it's really good looking down on it all, rather than actually looking straight at it."
Flying in a helicopter is an experience few people have had, so it's no surprise that people often get "overwhelmed" on their joy rides.
"They just love it. They're overwhelmed, they're excited, they think it is the best thing they've ever done," Ms Godden said.
Capertee Valley Helicopters will be at Mount Panorama for the remainder of the race weekend.
As many as 70 flights can be conducted in a day.
Ms Godden said if people want to fly over the track at a certain time, they should book in advance by calling 0428 639 825, otherwise they can just walk up and arrange their flight on the spot.
