Caleb Bogal of Pacific Way in Bathurst and Harrison Conroy, 25, of Sofala Road, Kelso did not appear to answer the charges of owning an attacking dog and failing to comply with menacing dog control requirements.
Magistrate Kevin Hockey dealt with them in their absence under Section 196.
Facts handed to the court said the incident occurred on January 9 this year on the Eleven Mile Drive.
The court heard the dogs had been declared menacing dogs after earlier escaping a property on the Sofala Road and attacking a number of goats.
The court heard the January 9 attack was the third incident.
The statement told how "Rusty", an American Staffordshire terrier which was owned by Bogal, and a second dog "Copper", a German wire-haired pointer owned by Conroy, escaped the Sofala Road property on November 27.
They entered another property on the Eleven Mile Drive where they attacked and killed several goats.
As a result the owners were issued with a penalty notice and both dogs were declared menacing dogs.
On January 9 this year, Rusty and Copper again escaped the Sofala Road property, entering the Eleven Mile Drive property where they attacked and injured another goat before being chased off by the goat's owner.
Bathurst Regional Council rangers were called to the scene and impounded the dogs, which have since been destroyed.
In a written plea of guilt Conroy said he accepted responsibility for his dog's actions.
He said he is paying off the earlier $1300 fine, has had the dog put down and regrets what has happened.
Both Bogal and Conroy were fined $1500 for owning an attacking dog and $750 for failing to comply with menacing dog control requirements
They were also ordered to pay $150 in compensation to cover the costs of treatment to the injured goat.
