The stadium hosted the Western Junior Basketball League under 14s, under 16s and under 18s boys and girls, with teams from Orange, Dubbo, Lithgow and Gilgandra joining the hosts.

Coaching coordinator Jess McGrath said the tournament was a huge success.

"I was very happy with how our teams went on the weekend," she said.

"They all did a great job and there was some improvement in how they played, so that was nice to see. I think every team got a win, which was good."

Bathurst will host another round later this month, when a group of Riverina clubs come to town.

"In a couple of weeks we'll have the Riverina guys come down to Bathurst on March 27-28," she said.

"They've had their home round when they play each other, but now they'll come to Bathurst where we'll play each other, so there'll be a lot of game that weekend."

Bathurst also sent under 12s boys and girls team to Lithgow, with the boys losing all four matches, while the girls won all four of their matches.
