The institution was set to use last year's event to celebrate its 40th anniversary but it was cancelled due to the onset of COVID-19 lockdown.
But on March 28, MitCon will reinvigorate the event in Machattie Park because the regular venue, the Bathurst Court House lawn, is currently occupied by restorative works.
MitCon executive director Graham Sattler said he was looking forward to finally marking the milestone.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"We sadly had to delay our 40th birthday celebrations due to COVID but with restrictions starting to ease, we're looking forward to inviting people to Machattie Park for an afternoon of music," he said.
"The rotunda will serve as the main stage and it's an opportunity for us to acknowledge our return to community events within a more comfortable environment."
Mr Sattler said the concert would feature some of MitCon's finest musicians, from emerging talents to seasoned performers, and will be free to everyone wishing to attend.
"There are no limits on attendance in regional NSW for outdoor performances and events any more so while we still recommend people stay COVID-safe, there's no need to sign in," he said.
"Much like council's Musicians in the Park initiative, we invite anyone to bring some afternoon snacks with them and enjoy two hours of relaxing tunes."
The event will take place on Sunday, March 28 from 4pm to 6pm.
