Last week, Cr Morse, a longtime advocate for women in local government, called on the community to join her in a show of solidarity supporting women in Canberra protesting the federal Government's response to sexual abuse allegations.
While thousands of people surrounded Parliament House, about 100 men and women attended the Bathurst event
Cr Morse said she was delighted with the turnout.
"There are a lot of men and women here which is amazing. I wasn't sure how big the turn-out would be but we've certainly got a lot of interested women, and men, young women too. I'm pleased I voiced the idea."

She said her message to the community was to "choose a challenge and just do it."
"The challenge women have is they have got to do it themselves... it's no good asking those wretched politicians to do it.
"I don't believe the politicians will do it, I really don't. They don't listen," she said.
In addition to those attending the event, Cr Morse had a long list of others sending official apologies, unable to attend due to work commitments.
Among the apologies was Cr Morse's colleague Jacquie Rudge, who Cr Morse said "had many forthright comments to make."
Aunty Gloria Rogers did the official warming, saying she was very happy to see so many women, and men here today.
"We thank you," she said.
She said her message was from a song she has had going through her head last couple of days.
"Even before I was even asked to come along.
"The words in that song are we are not going to take it any more.
"It's very relevant, and it's why we are here today.... we're not going to take it," she said.
During the event, participants were asked to choose their challenge, with some taking the opportunity to share their challenge.
