They were displayed in the historic home as part of a special exhibition, which was meant to be held in 2020 to celebrate 75 years of the National Trust.
In addition to the open day on Sunday, an exclusive ticketed event was held on Saturday that included a presentation, Bustle to Bias Brides: 1880-1940, by the Cavalcade of History and Fashion.
Miss Traill's House managing committee vice chair Lyn Haley said it had been a wonderful weekend.
She was particularly pleased to see so many people at the house on Sunday.
"We're delighted with the response from the people who've come, some from Lithgow, Rockley, Bathurst," Ms Haley said. "We're delighted that people are interested because the gowns are so lovely and they're only here for one weekend, then they're all gone, so the more people that get to enjoy them, the better."
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Cavalcade's presentations coordinator Rachel King said three dresses from the group's collection were on display in the house.
"Just after Miss Traill died, her nephew donated some gowns and accessories to Cavalcade, one of which was Emily Kite's," she said.
Emily Kite, Miss Traill's grandmother, is understood to have worn the pink taffeta and lace ballgown in 1859 before she married George Lee.
The other two dresses, both made of lace, were worn by Miss Traill in the 1950s.
Ms Haley said Cavalcade has donated those two dresses back to Miss Traill's House.
They will join the the collection, which includes a number of other garments worn by Miss Traill.
Ms King has a passion for historic fashion and was pleased to bring some pieces to light over the weekend.
"We want to have them come and be seen by people," she said.
The exhibition also fulfilled a goal of Ms Haley's, who was inspired by a Cavalcade presentation she saw 30 years ago, to give Bathurst women the chance to see beautiful old gowns.
