As of Thursday afternoon, the official rainfall figure for the month of March was 135.2 millimetres.
This is nearly triple the amount Bathurst would normally see in March.
The low level bridge on Hereford Street was finally able to reopen on Thursday afternoon after becoming flooded on Monday.
The Macquarie River began to drop on Wednesday, after peaking at 5.15 metres, allowing to bridge to reopen.
Freemantle and Ophir roads were also able to reopen on Thursday afternoon, but Howards Bridge on the Bridle Track remained closed.
Bathurst Regional Council said it was under repair after being washed out.
Council took a new reading at Chifley Dam on Wednesday and found the level was 104 per cent.
