Orange won the game 60-37 to remain undefeated and make it four regional crowns in a row plus their 25th in the last 26 years.
However, Sunday marked Bathurst's first appearance in a division one final since 2018 and aside from a third quarter lapse, they did push Orange.
At half-time there was little in it, Bathurst trailing 26-21.
Apart from joint captain-coaches Jess Matthews and Sam Thompson - players were were part of the Bathurst outfit which dethroned Orange as the regional champions in 2017 - the rest of the division one squad consistent of emerging talents.
That points to good things to come in the future.
"They just got away from us in one quarter," Matthews, who's side earlier beat Forbes 63-58 in the semi-final said.
"We knew we had the team that could give them a good run, but it was just that one quarter that costs us, we just made silly mistakes.
"We dropped our heads when we did make those mistakes which we shouldn't have but that's okay, it's all learning, especially being young that happens.
"Orange are a dominant side and have got a lot of older people playing for them, so that helped them as well."
Matthews knows the young talents will be better for their regional league experience, with goal shooter Mia Baggett one in particular the coach was impressed by.
"Mia Baggett she just joined our team this year, she's a border at All Saints', and she's only just started playing netball in the last two years. She was awesome, she was really good for us," she said.
"We improved a lot over the three weeks ... they've still got all their carnivals and their big state champs to come, so they've still got a busy year ahead."
