The event will be held this Friday, Saturday and Sunday after it didn't go ahead last year due to the complications caused by COVID restrictions.
Media manager Richard Craill said the 6 Hour will have no cap on the number of people attending, but additional measures have been taken this year to reflect the current COVID-19 restrictions, including distancing within the campground facilities.
"To ensure fans have a safe weekend, the event will operate with social distancing throughout the venue, regular hand sanitisation stations will be available throughout and all participants entering the precinct will check in via the NSW QR codes available at all entrances and throughout the venue," he said.
Sixty-two cars representing 15 brands and more than 35 models are set to contest the six-hour race on Easter Sunday.

"This year's event features the strongest ever on-track line-up with the 62-strong Bathurst 6 Hour field joined by Supercheap Auto TCR Australia for their first ever appearance at Mount Panorama," Mr Craill said.
"The Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS, National Trans-Am Series, MRF Bathurst Excel Challenge, Radical Australia Cup and Historic Touring Cars complete a massive program that will see 30 hours of on-track activity."
Mr Craill said all GA (general admission) areas - at the top and the bottom of Mount Panorama - will be open to all ticketholders.
"Free access to the paddock area has long been a feature of the event and will continue in 2021, allowing fans to see the Bathurst 6 Hour teams at work, check out the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia cars in the paddock and all the support categories up close," he said.
"The roof of the pit building will also be open to spectators, offering a sensational vantage point over the pit straight and surrounds."
Mr Craill said the action will start early on Friday morning and the first races will be held that afternoon.
