Drawing box seven in the opening race of the meeting - the GBOTA Welcome 0-2 Win (520 metres) - Lebowski ($2.20 favourite) raced to an early lead and never looked back to win within 30.12 seconds, finishing ahead of Mr. Hero and Fake Fake Fake in second and third respectively.
Starr, partner to the winning trainer and owner Nieuwendyk, is hoping that Lebowski can continue to improve his form in the future.
"He's the only pup in the litter and we bred him. He's no champion at the moment but he might find a little bit," he said.
"He has won three from five starts now, which is good. Overly we've just got to keep improving.
"That was probably as good as he could go at the moment.
"We'll probably cart him around the bush now, hopefully he improves a little bit. We might go to Gunnedah next."
The field only featured six runners, with Winlock Buff coming in at fourth, while Lobo Heart and Huffle Puffle ran in at fifth and sixth respectively.
That wouldn't be Nieuwendyk's only win of the race, when Jacky Lay Lay ($4.20) went on to win the GRNSW Maiden Final Series (520 metres) ahead of the favourite Colleagues ($2.50).
It was Jacky Lay Lay's second career win from just three starts, his first coming at the Bathurst track back on February 22.
