It has been announced that as part of the inaugural Bathurst International in November, the famous circuit will host the Australian Production Cars season grand final.
Though the chance to race at Bathurst could draw some big name drivers, promoter Ontic Sports has introduced a 'season pass' concept to ensure regular APC competitors fighting for a season title can ensure they don't miss out.
The Bathurst round, which will be the fifth of the series, will have a grid capacity of 55 cars.
"Mount Panorama is always the number one circuit for all motor sport competitors when it comes to their wish lists," Troy Williams, Ontic Sports' general manager said.
Rounds one through four will be held as part of the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships at Sydney Motorsport Park (May 1-2); Morgan Park Raceway (June 25-27); Sandown Raceway (September 10-12); and Tailem Bend Motorsport Park (October 15-17).
"What a mix of events we have in store for 2021 with four great events with the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships at some of this country's best race tracks ahead of a grand finale at none other than the hallowed grounds of Mount Panorama - it doesn't get any better than that," Williams said.
Hosted by the Australian Racing Group (ARG), the Bathurst International will run across November 26-28 and host a number of popular categories.
"The APC is a great national category and one that we are very happy to have on the program for the Bathurst International," Matt Braid, ARG chief executive officer, said.
