The grant, worth $48,570, comes from Create NSW's Arts Restart Strategic Initiative, and will support 20 artists to participate in the Hill End Residential Intensive Program.
BRAGS president Max Wilson said the grant will encourage the creation of more works for exhibition at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery [BRAG].
"It will further enhance the status of arts and culture as a key pillar of the Bathurst community," Mr Wilson said.
"The BRAG staff have shown stunning positivity and resilience over a difficult 12 months, and this grant is proof of Bathurst's value as a regional centre for the arts."
BRAG director Sarah Gurich said the Hill End Residential Intensive Program will expand the creative possibilities for artists involved in the village's Artists in Residence Program.
"This grant will give these artists the opportunity to workshop and hothouse exhibitions and performances for the enjoyment of the entire community," Ms Gurich said.
"One of the intensives brought together five regional artists for a stop-motion workshop to form the basis for an upcoming BRAG exhibition in October, and another intensive will support a major performance-based production in development based on Wahluu-Mount Panorama, so watch this space."
Bathurst MP Paul Toole said "it's important to expand opportunities for regional artists to create."
