Members of the Probus Club of Macquarie Bathurst gathered at Abercrombie House on Thursday for a high tea to mark the club's 25th anniversary.
Those attending were asked to wear silver in honour of the special occasion.
IN NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
"The club was established in April 1996 and we still have two foundation members, Margaret Bower and June Hargans, who are active members," president Cheryl Mitford said.
"Our home was the Bathurst City Bowling Club when we started off and then we moved to the Senior Citizens' Centre.
"We are now at Panthers [a change made due to COVID requirements]."
Ms Mitford said the club meets monthly.
"We are a very active, friendly group and it's all about fellowship, friendship and fun.
"The original members set up the framework for the club and it still functions under that framework."
Ms Mitford said the club has a buddy system that ensures that every one of its members is contacted every month.
There were 50 or so club members at the celebration at Abercrombie House on Thursday, which featured an anniversary cake.
