The petite church in Christie Street has an Anzac list in the foyer that will be of interest to many people, according to St James' organist and gardener Vanessa Russell.

She said the list is of those who went to war who, she suspects, had an association with St James' Church.

"A lot of Raglan people don't even know that the list exists," she said.

Ms Russell said the church has "gorgeous stained glass windows" and an old pedal organ donated many years ago, as well as a much more modern organ.

"There will be bits and bobs out on display for the open day," she said.

Ms Russell has been the organist at the church for 24 years and the gardener for six years.

The church will be open from noon to 4pm this Sunday, April 25.

It is on the corner of Christie and Locke street, Raglan, in the northern part of the village.
