Damaged fences, chipped brickwork, broken glass, litter and numerous skid marks in the McDonalds Bathurst car park have proven enough for two councillors to call for a crack down on hoons.

Bathurst councillors Monica Morse and Jess Jennings have been made aware of repeated acts of vandalism and hoon behaviour, and believe more needs to be done to prevent anti-social acts in the prominent thoroughfare.
"According to the general manager of Bathurst Regional Council, these issues were reported a year ago, and was discussed by the engineering staff," Cr Morse said.
"It's just unacceptable to have this sort of behaviour occur in a public place, affecting neighbouring residents, businesses and visitors who use the car park," Cr Jennings added.
The car park is essentially a 24-hour operation, with McDonalds always open and various shift workers utilising the space to leave their vehicles for work at nearby businesses.
"An ideal solution would be to find some room in council's budget to install CCTV within the car park; if images of number plates and faces were caught, it might make perpetrators think twice," Cr Jennings said.
"I've raised this issue with the Bathurst Community Safety Committee as well."
"People are, quite frankly, scared of these hoons running rampant throughout this car park, but won't speak out in fear of being targeted," Cr Morse added.
Chifley Local Area Command duty officer Sergeant Ryan Baird said "it's vital people report any anti-social behaviour witnessed in the car park to Crime Stoppers on 1800333000."
