A Logan man was in Bathurst for a business trip when he visited Bathurst RSL on Monday and decided to try his luck on Keno.
He hit the jackpot with a Keno Classic 8 Spot entry in draw 729, taking home $68,398.50.
"I was just heading to the club to relax and fill in some time, so I decided to play a game of Keno," the man said.
"I was about to head off, so I went up to the counter to check my ticket and I heard a ping. I said to the lady, 'does that mean it's a loser?' and she just looked at me and said 'nope, the opposite! It's a winner!'.
"I was blown away! I actually fell back a little and went as white as a ghost. The lady had to ask if I was okay.
"Honestly, I had a bit of a downer of a week last week so it's a nice change. I feel like I am floating on air. I just keep thinking, 'gee, good things do happen!'.
"It's just crazy because I was only in Bathurst to do some work and now I've won an extra $68,000, so it's awesome."
When asked how he planned to enjoy his Keno fun money, the ecstatic man said he had a few things in mind.
"I have a few bills to pay and I wouldn't mind getting a new car," he said.
"There's also a few things around the house that need fixing up, and I would love to take some time off to go on a holiday."
