Emergency services received calls at around 6.20am, quickly responding to reports of a crash involving two cars just outside Bathurst, near Raglan, which was also affecting traffic on the highway.
They quickly discovered the incident, assessing and treating two patients on site before transporting a man in his 60s to Bathurst Hospital with minor injuries, with the main concern reportedly an injury to his collarbone.
The other patient, a man in his 30s, sustained no injuries and thus refused transport after being treated on the scene.
As of 7.20am, Eastbound traffic was still affected on the Great Western Highway however the flow was reportedly beginning to increase. Motorists are still advised to exercise caution in the area and check Live Traffic for conditions.
