This year's Anzac Day march from the Bathurst RSL Club, up Russell Street and to the Carillon is restricted to servicemen and women only, while seats at the memorial service on Sunday morning will be reserved for them only.
For people that do chose to line the street to watch the march take play and view the memorial service from the distance, Chifley Police District Chief Inspector Glenn Cogdell is urging people to follow social distancing rules where possible.
"We understand that there will be services and the march in Bathurst and if people do attend, all we ask is people keep social distance and abide to COVID rules," he said.

Inspector Cogdell said police will still be involved in the Anzac Day service even though they will not participate in the march.
"Police will still be involved with wreath laying like all other emergency services, so we're still there paying our respects," he said.
"They've contributed to this city and the style and freedom we enjoy today."
Bathurst RSL Sub Branch president David Mills said he's looking forward to Sunday's memorial service, the first held on Anzac Day with an official crowd since 2019.
"We're looking forward to Sunday, but we'll be a lot more happier with no restrictions. We'll just commemorate with what we have," he said.
Come Sunday, a dawn service will be held at the Carillon at 4.30am, with the march to step off at 4.25am from the corner of George Street and Kings Parade, with the march restricted to ex-service and current serving personnel only.
At 6am, people are encouraged to stand by their letter box. Conducted in conjunction with 2BS, streaming to 2MCE, the service will commence at 5.55am with a live broadcast.
The Anzac Day march will assemble at the Bathurst RSL Club on Rankin Street for a 10.15am step off, with the march to be restricted ex-service and current serving personnel only. The service will be conducted at the Carillon at 10.30am, with march participants to be seated.
Other services across the region will be held at Yetholme and Rockley from 8.30am and at Sofala from 2pm.
