Winlock Abby ($3.40) got away strongly from the widest draw to lead the whole way in the Welcome GBOTA Maiden (450 metres) and comfortably saw off the challenge from Winlock Buff ($61, Derek Kerr).
Pink Lemonade ($1.60 favourite, Tanya Nieuwendyk) finished third.
The field came out of the boxes bunched up in a pack of six runners after Hartley Ash was the only runner to miss the start.
The battle for control across the back straight was fought between those starting on opposite sides of the draw, Pink Lemonade and Winlock Abby.
Winlock Abby edged past the favourite on the turn for home and started to pull away to eventually win by 5.5 metres.
Winlock Buff managed to charge down Pink Lemonade by a half length to pinch the runner-up spot and give Weekes the 1-2 result.
It was the second race start for Winlock Abby, who had finished fourth on her debut.
The time was 26.10.
"She got a bad check last week today but drawn out wide today she was a special. We had a big bet on her because we thought she was a good thing," Weekes said.
"We thought this would suit her out wide. The seven went left and there was a vacant box in the five. There was room to work with. Everything went to plan.
"We're setting her for that 0-2 in Dubbo worth $10,000 in three weeks over the 500m."
