After a well-received performance at last year's Inland Sea of Sound festival, Australian blues musician Owen Campbell will return to the region next month for a pair of electrifying gigs.

The singer-songwriter will perform in Bathurst [The Victoria, May 15] and Orange [The Blind Pig, May 16] as part of a 22-date tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut album, Sunshine Road.
After a difficult 12 months for the live music industry, Campbell said he's happy with a return to touring nationally.
"I've just completed a short tour of Tasmania, and I'm looking forward to getting back out to doing regional shows again," he said.
"Although it's 10 years since Sunshine Road, it doesn't at all feel like I'm revisiting the album as the songs continue to evolve every time I perform them live."
Campbell first rose to national prominence as a popular contestant on Australia's Got Talent after several years busking all around the world.
He has, to date, released five studio albums and two EP's, the most recent being 2019's The Rolling Thunder of Love.
Campbell said audiences can also expect songs of the aforementioned album, as well his previous releases and yet to be released material off an upcoming live album.
"In the lead-up to The Rolling Thunder of Love, I went through a period of stagnation, but that album helped the band and I rediscover that passion for music after struggling with music industry pressure," he said.
"The new tunes on the live album are in much the same vein, but honour the immediacy of live performance and how it challenges you as an artist to entertain people on the spot."
Campbell will be backed by a dynamic live band, including Matt Nightingale on bass and Kane Butler on drums.
"They're the best rhythm section I've ever worked with," he said.
Campbell said local audiences can expect "solid, cosmic rock and roll shows" to help reinvigorate live music locally after a trying year.
"After being dormant for so long, we're fired up and ready to provide energetic entertainment for audiences," he said.
"Music is medicine, and an engaging interactive experience is incredibly vital to our health and wellbeing."
All five of Campbell's albums have hit the top 10 on the iTunes Blues Chart in over 10 countries and Sunshine Road hit number one on the overall Australian iTunes chart in 2014, unseating Adele.
