Stannies students paid a visit to the St Vincent de Paul St Therese Conference headquarters on Wednesday to donate pillows, blankets and rugs towards the charity's winter appeal.
"It's important for us as students to reach out to members of the community who may not have access to comfortable living arrangements during the winter months," Stannies St Vincent de Paul Conference president Bede Smeallie said.
"We regularly stage fundraising events at school to support the numerous initiatives Vinnies carry out in the local community."
The St Therese Conference run a winter appeal each year in order to provide support for people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness.
St Therese Conference president Graham Clayton said the organisation is thankful for Stannies' support each year.
"They've helped us over a long period of time and Bathurst's homeless population are always grateful for their donations," Mr Clayton said.
"We're always in need of blankets, pillows and various other items of warmth and comfort, so whatever can be spared will go a long way."
Mr Clayton said Stannies donate around $1000 worth of items to the winter appeal each year.
"It's always pleasing to recognise the sincere generosity of local students, especially knowing that their contributions will better the lives of many," he said.
