Played away in Lithgow, City went down to the ladder-leading, still undefeated Panthers 4-2, with City's goals from Ellie Bestwick and Emily Thompson.
Panthers took a 2-1 lead into the half-time break, but City managed to equalise in the early stages of the second half before the hosts ran away with it with two more goals.
Willott said he wasn't too disappointed with the result, considering the young age of the players in his squad.
"We had a lot of young, young players on Saturday," he said.
"Our keeper Maddy Tattersall played out in the field, while her mum Kylie went in goals and she played brilliantly.
"Everyone in the whole team was just brilliant. Jess Gardner was probably our only other senior player on the field, with the rest of them were under 20, except for Maddy and the keeper."
While Willott was pleased with his players performance, the loss does leave Bathurst City without a point and rooted to the bottom of the ladder from three games.
Bathurst City will be hoping to end its losing streak at home this coming Saturday against the high flying, second placed new team in Orange United at the Cooke Hockey Complex.
