CSU suffered an eight point loss to Parkes in round four action last Saturday, but the students managed to score five tries to four, with inaccurate kicking would ultimately cost the team.
So, understandably, CSU coach David Conyers believes goal kicking is the most obvious improvement that his team needs.
"We missed about five shots at goal and lost scoring five tries to four, which is pretty disappointing," Conyers said on last week's game.

"We're just going to have to persevere with our goal kickers. They're both good, it's just unfortunate they've had two weekends where they haven't kicked that well."
While last Saturday's match was a tough loss to take, Conyers believes that result will strive the team forward against Mudgee in round five.
"They're keen to redeem themselves after a game they probably should've won. That sort of set the tone for people wanting to be hungry for the match this weekend," he said.
Mudgee - who lost last year's New Holland Agriculture Cup to Parkes by three points - is a team that Conyers is cautious off.
He noted the team had a number of backs that jumped over from rugby league last season due to the cancellation of Group 10, but even with those players no longer there, he expects the Wombats to be tough, especially their forward pack.
They're keen to redeem themselves ...

"As usual, they have a really good pack of forward. That's their strength," he said.
"Last year with the Group 10 Rugby League not being played, Mudgee had a really good backline with a lot of leaguies playing.
"They obviously got into the grand final and were minor premiers, so they had a really good season last year.
"They're probably a little bit diminished in their backs from last year with Group 10 going back but they still have a really good pack of forwards regardless."
For CSU's backline, Conyers believes it has potential to be great but has plenty of work to do.
"We've got a really young backline that hasn't really connected, being all new guys," he said.
"There's some real talent there, we've just got to get them playing together. They don't really know what each other can do. That'll take a bit of time.
"It's similar to what happened in 2019 [when we won the grand final]. We had a bit of a slow start to the season, but when everyone started playing together and got to know each other, the back end of the season we were playing really good rugby."
Kick-off at CSU is from 3.15pm.
