Hundreds of dogs have been entered into the competition, with them coming from all over NSW to compete.

Show manager Ros Cavanagh said there are 400 dogs entered into events on Saturday, and just under 300 will compete on Sunday.

The entries are down a little bit due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is still an impressive number of competitors.

The entries will be represented in seven different groups, which are toy, terrier, gundog, hound, working dog, utility and non-sporting.

People can expect to see breeds such as cavalier King Charles spaniels, Jack Russell terriers, dachshunds, Australian cattle dogs and more.

They will be judged by a panel of local NSW judges.

Ms Cavanagh said there were three Western Australian judges confirmed for the show as well, but they are now unable to attend due to recent COVID-19 outbreaks.

A lot of effort goes into to getting dogs trained and show-ready.

"There is a lot of work involved with show dogs and owners are very particular, so it's a lot of work," Ms Cavanagh said.

Members of the public are encouraged to come along to watch the competition, which will run all day Saturday from 8am, and from 8.30am to around midday on Sunday.

There is no entry fee for spectators.

"This is a great opportunity to look at different dogs and maybe help you to pick one breed for yourself," Ms Cavanagh said.
