Bathurst's second Walk 'n' Talk for Live event saw people of all ages and backgrounds come together for a walk around the river and a free sausage sizzle.

For the first time, the event was organised by Wambuul Life Connection Network, an organisation formed last year to act on suicide prevention and lessen the stigma around mental health.

Wambuul Life Connection Network chair Kurt Wheatley said the event was well attended considering its clash with Mother's Day and Proclamation Day.

"The event went well, it was good to see members of the community don their yellow shirts and support the cause," Mr Wheatley said.

"It shows there's a significant amount of people in the local community who share concerns around suicide and mental health, and through our network, we're aiming to take further action on suicide prevention in the coming months."

The Wambuul Life Connection Network has around 60 members, and works closely with a host of local organisations, including primary health networks [PHN's], Western NSW Local Health District and Lifeline Central West.
