They're keen to see what they can bring to the table when they travel to play the Orange Tigers, where the Bathurst club are on a quest to complete an opening round sweep against all three competition rivals.
There will be some chopping and changing to the Giants lineup due to injury but in the space of two games the squad have already shown signs of flexibility across the park.
Kennedy said the team have now set themselves a level of expectations for each game based on two strong performances to start 2021.
"We've talked about complacency over the last couple of training sessions ... and to be honest the Bushrangers had a couple of really strong players out while we had a strong team on the day," he said.
"As I've said before, we wanted to use this game as a litmus test for where we are in the season and it was a pretty good one for us. We just need to make sure that we focus on maintaining that, keep improving and don't take any backward steps."

Kennedy believes the club's cohesion off the park has also helped kickstart the season in positive fashion.
"There's a great vibe and buzz around the place. They're getting back to the club to get around each other and we've got a lot of senior guys driving social events," he said.
"It's not just about what goes on at the paddock it's about making sure that we maintain a strong club culture."
Giants will still be without Ryan Cooke due to a leg injury while Luke Macauley will be a big loss after he suffered a broken arm in the win over Bushrangers.
"He'll be out six to eight weeks, at a minimum," Kennedy said.
"That's really disappointing for us because the young bloke was training really well and was going to be one of our key midfielders moving forward.
"His injury happened early in the game and we were able to juggle people around and put them in various roles and I don't think we lost anything.
"Jacob Molkentin is back from an ankle injury and we've picked up another recruit with Ben Monaghan, who is Leigh and Chad's brother. He previously played in the competition with Orange so he's a great pickup."
