Chifley Police District crime manager Detective Chief Inspector Luke Rankin said police were called to the incident at 7am.
He said initial investigations into the car fire suggest it is not linked to the cars damaged by fire around Browning Street last week.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Inspector Luke Rankin said it appears the car caught fire after it hit a tree in the paddock.
He said there were reports made to police of the car being driven in the paddock in a reckless manner just prior to the crash, and a man was seen running from the car after it collided with the tree.
He said officers and fire crews attended the scene, with police taking a number of items from the boot of the car as part of the investigations. Inspector Rankin said the car has since been reported stolen.
