Bathurst shivered through its coldest May morning in four years on Sunday.
The mercury dropped to -4.1 at the Bathurst Airport in the early hours on Sunday morning, the coldest morning for Bathurst since August, 2020.
It's the coldest May morning since 2017, when a low of -5.4 was recorded at the Bathurst Airport, but Sunday's minimum is still a bit of the record for May of -6.9 which was set back in 1999.
The cold weather is a timely reminder for joggers, walkers and cyclists to be safe near the roads.
Walking, running and cycling in low-light or low visibility greatly increases the risk of being hit by a vehicle.
Wear bright coloured or high visibility (hi-vis) clothing and one or more lights.
Keep off the road where possible and walk or jog on the right side of the road so you are facing oncoming traffic.
