The cold weather is a timely reminder for joggers, walkers and cyclists to be safe near the roads.
Walking, running and cycling in low-light or low visibility greatly increases the risk of being hit by a vehicle.
Wear bright coloured or high visibility (hi-vis) clothing and one or more lights.
Keep off the road where possible and walk or jog on the right side of the road so you are facing oncoming traffic.
