Pre-sale tickets to Kelly's August 7 concert at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre went on sale on Tuesday at $90 a seat with the remainder of the general entry tickets to be available from noon on Thursday.
The first batch of tickets sold out quickly but within hours some were being offered for resale on Viagogo at seriously inflated prices.
The tickets were being sold for $394 each ($299 plus $95 GST and booking fee) but the iconic Australian singer-songwriter has warned Bathurst fans not to be tempted.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
A post on the official Paul Kelly Facebook page on Wednesday acknowledged tickets to all his tour dates were selling quickly but said fans who bought from Viagogo risked losing their money.
"Tickets in yesterday's presale went really quickly, and we've noticed a few tickets have ended up on Viagogo," the post read.
"If you buy tickets there, you will be paying around 4 times the face value, and there is a high chance that you will never receive the tickets.
"General Public on sale is tomorrow at midday. Official ticketing page is here: https://www.frontiertouring.com/paulkelly.
"Capacities are limited, and tickets will go very quickly.
"Team PK."
BMEC has previously warned would-be concertgoers against buying tickets from Viagogo and that tickets brought through the reselling site would be cancelled.
