The pair who have guided the Bathurst Giants to 36 wins and two draws from the 46 games have been named as coach (Sloan) and manager (Kennedy) of the AFL Central West women's representative side.
Representative football is still a new concept for the female talents within the area. In 2018 the league had northern and southern outfits square off, while in 2019 the first AFLCW women's side was formed.
That team went down 7-2-42 to 5-6-36 to the Sapphire Coast.
But Kennedy is hopeful the AFLCW Eagles will be able to notch up their first win when meeting them again at Shoalhaven on June 26.
"We have a great deal of talent in there and I'm really excited to see what these girls can come up with. The combination of girls from Dubbo, Orange and Bathurst Bushrangers, along with the girls from the Giants, I think it's very exciting," Kennedy said.
"I wish it had a bit more prestige about it, but we're looking forward to it and I think it will be a good game. Mick and I are looking forward to coaching them.
"I think it is a good way for us to showcase the girls out here. Because in the short time that they've been here, I know from the Giants, they've just embraced the game and I know they are really great ambassadors for the game."
Bathurst Giants have dominated selections with half of the 22 player squad coming from the ranks of the two-times defending premiers.
Katie Kennedy, Chelsea Gibbs, Sarah Day and Tamara Thompson, who played for the Southern Thunder in that first representative game three years ago, have earned selection as well as Laycee Covington-Gorst, Elise Gullifer, Olivia Johnston, Mikaela Kingham, Zoe Peters, Hailee Provest and Aimee Schmidt.
There are three Bathurst Bushrangers in Amy Bush, Chloe Hinde and Elly Rudd while the rest of the squad include the likes of skilful Orange Tigers midfielder Erin Naden and two-time winner of best on ground in a grand final in Dubbo's Emily Warner.
It is a side that has strong rucking options in the likes of Covington-Gorst, Hinde and Dubbo's Korine Coleman, a talented back line and dangerous forwards, but Kennedy thinks it could be the midfield where the Central West Eagles hold an edge.
"Aimee and Katie have really clicked in the mids for the Giants, they are a force to be reckoned with those two girls, they are just sensational," she said.
"For Katie, who has been playing for so long, she trusts Aimee's game. Aimee, she just follows Katie's game and reads the play - they've certainly upped the standard of footy. Then you throw Tamara in there who's just a little bulldog and just keeps going ... it's a great mix.
"The girls only just lost last time, I'm not sure but I think [former Central West star] Beth Durham might be down that way and could be in that [Sapphire Coast] side. It will be interesting to see if she rocks up."
