Panorama Mini Mart and Takeaway is one of the Bathurst stores to join the DoorDash community, with part-owner and manager Ash Reed more than happy with that decision.
"It has worked out well for us, it's been good," Ms Reed said.
"They approached us with someone who came around and signed us up. It [delivery] was something we needed to look at, for sure, but couldn't do it staff-wise."
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Open for lunch and dinner, Panorama Mini Mart and Takeaway have anywhere up to 25 delivery orders a day, with door delivery very convenient for people always on-the-go.
"We have people ordering from Good Guys, Harvey Norman, even out at Clancy's so people are working and not being able to get away and still being able to have lunch," Ms Reed said.
"They can select a time too for when they want it so they can pre-order it for a certain time and get it then.
"I don't think they really charge a delivery fee. People are jumping on board for that because it's zero dollars to get it delivered."
DoorDash launched its new membership option DashPass earlier in June, providing users with unlimited deliveries with no delivery fees on orders over $20 and access to exclusive offers for a fee of $12.99 a month.
Popular franchises like Pizza Hut, Red Roster and McDonald's are all offering limited deals for DashPass members with new members receiving 50 per cent off their first two orders over $20.
"With the removal of delivery fees alone, excluding the huge selection of promotional discounts, DashPass users will make their money back in just three orders per month, and anything more will see them save money," DoorDash Australia general manager Rebecca Burrows said.
"As we saw a 62 per cent rise in people in Australia using the app to order groceries, alcohol and snacks from April to May, we see this as an opportunity for people to expand the way they currently use DoorDash and increase the benefits they get from the platform."
Other local food outlets currently listed with DoorDash include Hometown Cafe, Subway, Burgers On William, Thai Buddha and more.
