Driven by Bathurst's Bernie Hewitt Promising was backing up at Cowra after an impressive win at Bathurst on Wednesday night.
And punters didn't miss the impressive two-year-old sending him to the starting gates as a $1.30 favourite.
Despite the ease of its two victories Hewitt has no plans to push on with the promising youngster.
Aware of the massive future ahead for the youngster Hewitt said he'd now go for a spell with the rich Breeders Series in mind.
"I've always liked this fella, he's been racing in two-year-old company, just learning the trade, Hewitt said after the pacer's 19 and three quarter metre win.
"I've just been waiting for a chance with him, I haven't had many drives on him, he;s got quite a lot of scope and bottom about him."
Sounding a warning ahead of his next preparation Hewitt added: "He's getting his confidence now and will go to the paddock now".
"He looked like if he did everything right he was a great chance today and that was the way it turned out," Hewitt said.
Promising is owned by Cathy Hewitt and was bred by Gemma Hewitt.
