The single, 'When You Walk In the Room', will see the trio move away from their 'royale' beginnings to adopt a garage/alternative rock sound in the vein of Twin Peaks and Arctic Monkeys, with a major injection of The Rolling Stones.
Furbank said the song has been two years in the making.
"With Ben in Darwin, Jackson in Newcastle and me in Bathurst, we've been slowly chipping away at the song around our busy schedules," he said.
"The song explores the feelings you get when a certain person walks in the room; Ben wrote the lyrics and we wrote the music together."
Furbank said the trio is currently working on an EP, and hope to commence gigging next year once he and Ben move to Sydney.
"There's plenty of gig opportunities in Sydney and Newcastle, so we're looking forward to getting into it," he said.
