Grant, who has won the last two championships with Sydney FC, is currently in hotel quarantine after featuring for the Socceroos at its recent 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in Kuwait.
Grant was named at right back in the team, having been named in the same position in the last two team of the seasons.
The team of the season was announced at the Dolan-Warren Awards on Wednesday night, where Grant's teammate Milos Ninkovic was awarded the Johnny Warren Medal for player of the season, alongside Wellington Phoenix star Ulises Davila.
Grant will be watching on in hotel quarantine as Sydney FC looks to win a record third consecutive A-League championship on Saturday when his team plays Melbourne City at AAMI Park in the grand final.
